Since I had to frequently stock up at FotoMag (not by choice), I’ll share my impressions:
-
1. When selecting components on the website, you often have to wait a long time, especially when using filters; sometimes the page doesn’t load at all.
2. You typically have to wait about a week for the goods.
3. Staff are not competent (they couldn’t answer my simple questions); the usual excuse is: “You’ll see when it arrives; if it’s not what you wanted, you can return it.”
4. When calling FotoMag, they take a long time to answer, and often transfer you to nowhere.
5. There was a case where I ordered components for 4 PCs, and they delivered them in a large black bag, with the Tray processors thrown to the bottom, causing their pins to bend. I managed to straighten two, but for the others, I had to go back to the service center.
6. A couple of times, when ordering boxed versions of Windows, they delivered OEM versions. The second time, I clarified with the manager, and they confirmed it was a boxed version, but the result was the same.
7. There was an incident where the driver demanded cash for the goods, even though we had previously agreed with the manager to pay by non-cash methods. It took half an hour to sort it out.
8. Any non-standard situation causes delays and buck-passing.
9. When filtering, many options are not taken into account. When I asked a manager for help in finding a product, they told me that such a product doesn’t exist, but, to my surprise, Google found this product on FotoMag.
10. Managers say they will call back when resolving issues, but they don’t.
11. They canceled my order for a power supply without notification. When I called to find out why, they said they couldn’t reach me (I checked the phone, and there were no missed calls). Also, the price had already increased by 40 UAH, which is probably why they canceled my order.
+
I am only satisfied with the service center:
1. They call back when the product arrives.
2. They accommodate customers and clean up the mess made by managers.
