Building OpenWrt

Get the latest version of OpenWrt:

$ svn co svn://svn.openwrt.org/openwrt/trunk/
Get additional packages:

$ ./scripts/feeds update -a && ./scripts/feeds install -a
Apply the default configuration:

$ make defconfig
Configure the system (select your router type):

$ make menuconfig
Start building OpenWrt:

$ make
The ready-to-flash firmware file for the router is located here:

If you just need to update a previously downloaded distribution, update it to the latest version using the command:

$svn up
It is also possible to obtain the source code for a specific version:

$svn co -r 27495 svn://svn.openwrt.org/openwrt/trunk/
To build a specific (particular) package from the OpenWrt source tree:

make package/busybox/install
